The Kit Carson Mountain Men Wagon Train and Days of 49 Celebration, Sept. 17 – 20, 2015, brings Gold Rush history alive in charming, historic Amador County. An authentic wagon train of 15 horse-drawn covered wagons will pull into Jackson, CA on Saturday, Sept. 19 after a three-day journey from Cooper Vineyards in the Shenandoah Valley, through Plymouth, Drytown, Amador City and Sutter Creek, to celebrate Amador County’s pioneer heritage.
Main Street Theatre Works (MSTW) is pleased to present Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike at the Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre in Jackson.
Playwright Christopher Durang takes themes and characters from Chekhov plays and puts them in a comic blender. Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike runs every Friday and Saturday night, August 7th – September 5th. Doors open at 6:30 for picnics; show starts at 8:00pm. Patrons are encouraged to come early with their picnic dinners, chairs and jackets. The Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre is located at 1127 North Main Street in Jackson.
Antique Musical Organ Rally -- Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 26 – 27 2015. Experience the music of yesteryear! Unusual musical band organs from all over the country and their colorful owners, performing on Main Street, Saturday and Sunday. Free indoor concert at Jackson United Methodist Church on Sunday.
